What is AI TV REMOTE?

AI TV REMOTE is a smart universal remote for your iPhone that lets you control compatible smart TVs over your local Wi-Fi network. It also includes a built-in AI assistant to help you find shows, get recommendations, and answer questions about content.

Which TVs are supported?

The app supports a wide range of smart TVs that expose standard network-control protocols, including many Amazon Fire TV, and other Wi-Fi enabled smart TV devices. Your TV and iPhone must be on the same Wi-Fi network.

How do I connect my TV?
The app can't find my TV. What should I do?

What can the AI assistant do?

The AI assistant can recommend movies and TV shows, explain plots, suggest what to watch based on your mood, answer general questions, and help you navigate content. It is powered by the OpenAI API.

Is the AI always accurate?

No. AI responses may contain errors, outdated information, or hallucinated facts. Do not rely on the AI for medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice. Always double-check important information.

Is my chat data private?

Your prompts are sent to OpenAI only to generate a response. OpenAI does not use API data to train its models. We do not sell or share your chat content. For details see our Privacy Policy.

Should I share personal information with the AI?

No. Please do not send passwords, payment details, health data, government IDs, or other sensitive information to the AI chat.

Subscription & Billing

Is the app free?

AI TV REMOTE offers a free tier with core remote features. Advanced features (including unlimited AI Chat) require an auto-renewing subscription.

How do I cancel my subscription?

You'll continue to have access until the end of the current billing period.

How do I get a refund?

Refunds are handled by Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID, and request a refund for the purchase.

I subscribed on another device — how do I restore it?

Open the app, go to Settings, and tap Restore Purchases. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID you used for the original purchase.

Will my subscription auto-renew?

Yes. Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each period unless canceled at least 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage auto-renewal in your Apple ID subscription settings.

Troubleshooting

The remote buttons don't work.
The app crashes or freezes.
Why does the app ask for Local Network access?

AI TV REMOTE needs Local Network permission to discover your TV on Wi-Fi using Bonjour/mDNS. Without it, the app can't find or control your TV. This data stays on your local network.

Privacy & Security

What data does the app collect?

We collect standard diagnostics, device information, usage analytics, and the prompts you send to the AI assistant. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.

Do you sell my data?

No. We do not sell personal data to third parties.

How can I delete my data?

Email support@aplexityai.com from the account you used, and we'll delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable law.
